Camping and 19 week update. 147 days to go!

It's true - feeling movement is one of the best parts of being pregnant!! <3

We enjoyed our extended weekend camping out at Inks Lake until Sunday afternoon. It's about an hour and a half away from home.

And Toblakai does really well on car rides!
Sometimes, he gets TOO comfortable ;)

We arrived Friday morning and enjoyed the day setting up and then relaxing.

Our tent is so easy to set up so Daniel wanted me to time him on how long it took for him to do it himself. Under 2 minutes! Pretty impressive.

Really great book my MIL gave me for Mother's Day :)

Daniel fished a few times. Dinner was hot dogs and dessert was peanut butter s'mores.

Saturday, we made eggs for breakfast, we took Toblakai for a walk, we went out on the kayak, Daniel fished a lot, we relaxed a lot, and we kissed a lot ;) oh sorry.

We had fish that Daniel caught for dinner.

Toblakai seemed to enjoy everything - even the rain we got didn't bother him (except when we were on the kayak and it rained while heading back to our site lol).

Sunday morning, it rained, really hard! We laid in the tent and cuddled and played with Toblakai. It was actually fun! But packing everything up after the downpour was NOT fun. Everything was soaked! I'm still doing laundry...

I was pretty worried about feeling bad while we were camping and it putting a damper on our time but being pregnant while camping wasn't bad at all! Except for the frequent bathroom trips I had to make :/ It's probably because I'm not too far along yet. :)

And speaking of how far along I am...

How far along?: 19 weeks.

How big is baby?: About 9 oz - 6 inches. About the size of an heirloom tomato.

Morning sickness?: Nope! :)

Cravings?: Coffee.

Aversions?: None.

Mood swings?: Yes...that's all.

Weight gain/loss?: Not sure the exact.

Eating?: Eating good.

Wedding ring on or off?: On.

Maternity clothes?: Still wearing my beloved summer dresses :)

Stretch marks?: None yet.

Sleep?: I have decided I'm not going to struggle with sleep anymore. I have decided that, at night, I will accept the fact that I am not going to sleep good. So, to make up for that, I will take a nap during the day. And a huge "Thank You" to Daniel for letting me take my naps and letting me rest!! He's so incredibly understanding!

Best moment this week?: Going camping and laughing so much was just what we needed :) It was such a fun time and the entire time, we felt baby P kicking away!

Movement?: Daily!! It's great :)

Gender?: 10 days until we find out!!!! And 11 days until the world around us finds out ;) Stay tuned!

Labor signs?: Just the occasional Braxton Hicks.

Belly button - in or out?: Still in!

Showing?: Um, yes.

Happy or moody most of the time?: I've been very happy this week!! <3

What I miss?: Sleeping well.

What I am looking forward to?: Getting the 3D ultrasound!

Milestones?: Like I said above, I was worried about camping. I didn't know how my body was going to handle it and I didn't want it to put a damper on our trip because I knew how much Daniel was looking forward to it! So making it through the weekend without feeling completely "blah" was a great, personal, milestone for me.

Anything making you queasy or sick?: Nothing in particular. Just been feeling queasy and have had heartburn more this week.

Upcoming appointments/events?: This past week, I was supposed to have the appointment in Temple for the second part of the sequential screening but we needed to move it so it is now going to be June 2nd.

Bump picture?:
Took one at the hotel when we first got there.

We have movement!! [18 weeks]

Originally posted Tuesday, 20-May.

How far along?: 18 weeks and 1 day.

How big is baby?: 9 oz. About the size of a sweet potato.

Morning sickness?: No.

Cravings?: BBQ!

Fried chicken and honey mustard.

And Chick-Fil-A original sandwich with lots and lots of pickles!!

Aversions?: None this week.

Mood swings?: I've been extremely moody! :/

Weight gain/loss?: We'll find out my exact weight tomorrow at my anatomy scan appointment.

Eating?: Eating fine; just not as much recently.

Wedding ring on or off?: On and loose!

Maternity clothes?: The weather has been nice enough to allow for summer dresses :)

Stretch marks?: No. The cocoa butter lotion I use smells amazing!

Sleep?: I wake up in pain frequently throughout the night. Just "growing pains"... And sleeping on my side is still annoying! It makes my shoulders hurt but I can't get a firmer pillow because that gives me migraines when I sleep.

Best moment this week?: Daniel felt movement!!!! :) It was so cute. At first, he was frustrated because he could only feel his pulse in his fingers and thought that was the baby moving haha! Then when I said "did ya feel that?!" he realized what the real movement felt like.

Movement?: Every time I lay down or sit at work, I can feel movement! :) It is so great!! I want to stay this kind of pregnant forever! I don't want baby to get any bigger than this lol. JK!! It's just so cute and tiny and I'm not uncomfortable yet.

Gender?: Just 2 weeks until we find out. :D

Labor signs?: I felt a small contraction (twice) and my tummy got hard. It woke me up both times! I believe they are Braxton Hicks.

Belly button - in or out?: In.

Showing?: Definitely.

Happy or moody most of the time?: Moody :(

What I miss?: Camping, but we are going this weekend so yay! :)

What I am looking forward to?: More movement!

Milestones?: Daniel feeling the baby move!!

Anything making you queasy or sick?: I have felt sick for the past two days but not really sure what is causing it...

Upcoming appointments/events?:This weekend, we are going camping at Inks Lake and taking our puppy, Toblakai! :) We have an appointment tomorrow for an anatomy scan but we are not going to let them tell us yet! Waiting for us to be in GA for my friend, Mindy to tell us ;)

Puppy and 17 weeks.

We picked up the new puppy and he is so wonderful!! Already going potty outside. Already sitting without being told. Already eating well and sleeping well in his crate! :) he sleeps a lot because he's still just a sweet puppy and he's a serious snuggle bug <3

And here comes the picture overload ;)

~He's so spoiled!~

How far along?: 17 weeks and 3 days.

How big is baby?: 5.1 in - 5.9 oz. About the size of an onion.

Morning sickness?: Nope. Some mornings I feel gross...but not nauseous lol.

Cravings?: Skittles. Side note: most of these cravings, I have not yet given into! I'm pretty proud of myself!! ;)

Aversions?: Gross smells. Normally, I would be able to handle them but recently, I can't! I turn to Daniel to dump the trash now.

Mood swings?: I cry when I'm happy. And I laugh when Daniel makes me angry ;P jk lol. I've had sappy mood swings where I miss Daniel, more than normal, when he is at work!

Weight gain/loss?: Still at 101.0 lbs.

Eating?: Mostly, I've been eating snacks/small meals throughout the day and that has been helping with eating.

For Mother's Day, Daniel made a special dinner and it was so yummy!! I ate everything and it felt good to be able to eat "normal"!! :)

Unfortunately, this was the only photo I took haha! We ate too fast to take pictures before it was all gone! And he made an awesome cookies and cream pie that we are STILL enjoying ;) it's in the freezer and we have eaten a slice almost every night ha!

Wedding ring on or off?: Still on ;)

Maternity clothes?: Yep! Been wearing a few shirts recently because a good amount of clothes in my current wardrobe are tight fitting.

Stretch marks?: No!

Sleep?: I have been able to sleep through the night once this past week.

Best moment this week?: At Sunday morning church, Daniel reached over and put his hand on my belly, leaned over, and whispered in my ear, "I can't wait for our baby to get here!" :) Made me tear up a little bit!! He is so excited! He's going to be a wonderful Daddy <3

Movement?: Felt it flutter three days in a row!!!! But only a few flutters. And it all started because I was laying on my stomach playing with our sweet new puppy, Toblakai! :) So my stomach was being pushed in from laying on the floor haha but it was so great to finally feel something!!

Gender?: Just 3 weeks until we find out.

Labor signs?: Nope! Thank goodness ;)

Belly button - in or out?: In.

Showing?: Yes!...

Happy or moody most of the time?: Happy! :)

What I miss?: Feeling "normal".

What I am looking forward to?: Finding out if it's a boy or a girl!! And movement that Daniel can feel! I almost feel guilty that he can't share in the excitement but he knows how much I've been wanting and hoping to feel it so he's excited for me that I've been able to feel it now. So I can't even imagine how excited he's going to be when he can finally feel the movement!

Milestones?: Finally feeling movement! I have felt it often this week and it makes my heart smile so much :)

Anything making you queasy or sick?: Just nasty smells, naturally.

Upcoming appointments/events?: We have an appointment for an anatomy scan next week but we are not going to have the dr tell us what it is ;) we are waiting until we are back home in GA.

Bump picture?:

The week got away from us and we didn't take a bump picture :( So sorry!! If I took it now, it wouldn't be accurate since I am now 18 weeks ;) So check out the 18 week post to see the most recent bump!

The morning of the day we picked up Toblakai, I attended a baby shower on post that the USO hosted for expectant active duty soldiers and spouses of active duty soldiers. The author of What To Expect When You're Expecting was there and she met all us ladies and signed our books. It was a very week put together event! There were limited spots so I was very thankful I was able to attend.

Almost half way

We are almost half way through this pregnancy and I cannot believe it! In one month, 50% of this will be done. Crazy to think about...

Daniel and I have decided to get a puppy before the baby gets here and before I get too, TOO pregnant ;)

We get to pick him up on Friday and we cannot wait!! <3

In preparation for the expansion of our little family (both baby and puppy), Daniel has been doing a ton of work in the yard and around the house! He has out done himself! He is such a hard worker :) I have tried to help as much as possible but I get so tired so fast and I have to take water breaks every 10-15 minutes, or so. Daniel started on the side yard earlier this past weekend and finished in the backyard planting grass seed. It looks amazing!! It's going to be even more amazing once the grass starts growing too! ;) next weekend, we're going to work on the front yard. We really wanted to get the backyard finished first because that is where the puppy will go out.

His name is Toblakai and he is 6 weeks old. He is part blue healer; part border collie. So he is extremely smart ;)

How far along?: 16 weeks and 2 day.

How big is baby?: 4.6 in - 3.5 oz. About the size of an avocado.

Morning sickness?: Felt nauseous when grocery shopping and almost passed out. Had to sit on the floor in the middle of the store...

Cravings?: Fruity pebbles, hushpuppies, and fresh, juicy fruit (mostly strawberries)

Aversions?: Some food, as soon as I start eating it, makes me nauseous.

Mood swings?: Weepy moods, yes.

Weight gain/loss?: I have officially crossed over the 100 lb threshold! :/ I am 101.0 lbs now!!

Eating?: I am having to eat less, more frequently now to reduce nausea.

Wedding ring on or off?: Still on ;)

Maternity clothes?: Nope.

Stretch marks?: No...

Sleep?: I have not been sleeping well at all! I wake up every couple of hours and have a tough time falling back asleep...

Best moment this week?: I was able to touch my stomach and feel my uterus! It was weird and cool at the same time. The dr showed me where the top of it was and told me by next month it should be parallel to my belly button.

Movement?: Nothing...can't wait to feel something hopefully soon!!

Gender?: Just 4 weeks until we find out.

Labor signs?: Nope!

Belly button - in or out?: In.

Showing?: Yes! Feeling more and more far everyday ;) and Daniel's reaction to the bump is always "oh goodness!" as if he's surprised I'm fat! ;P

Happy or moody most of the time?: Neither really. Just weepy lol! Really weepy!! I cried at bedtime on Sunday night because Daniel wasn't tired and I was exhausted and he did more work all weekend than I did! And I felt like it wasn't right for me to be so tired. I felt lazy compared to him. So I cried in bed and eventually cried myself to sleep. Poor Daniel only knew to hold me and give me comforting kisses. And let me just take a minute to be sappy and brag on him...because he really has done 150% more work than I have done in months! He washed and waxed the car. Also cleaned it inside (wiped and vacuumed). He hand-pulled all the weeds from the grass (mostly sandburs) and patched the empty spots with soil and planted grass! Seriously, those sandburs covered about 75% of our yard!! It took about 14 hours! He has a nice farmer's tan going on now ;) Daniel cleared out the side yard so we could have a nice area to plant brand new grass and give Toblakai an area where we can play fetch with him. He has done a lot of work on the Aquaponics system and it is doing great! We are so happy and excited about it! Daniel has also vacuumed and helped with cleaning the kitchen. He has also helped with the laundry and keeping the upstairs clean! Not to mention, he has continued to be wonderful to me no matter how busy, or tired, he is <3

What I miss?: Margaritas and ramen noodles.

What I am looking forward to?: Feeling movement! And, hopefully, enjoying this trimester at some point!

Milestones?: I would say my weight gain is quite the milestone...

Anything making you queasy or sick?: Only a few things...

Upcoming appointments/events?: We get to pick up our puppy on Friday! I also have an on-post "baby shower" on Friday morning.

Bump picture?:
